Perfect asparagus doesn’t need to be complicated. This straightforward recipe ensures tender, bright spears with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 1 bundle asparagus
- 1 T avocado oil (or your preferred oil)
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 2 tsp fresh lemon juice optional

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Hold each asparagus spear near the middle and gently bend until the woody end snaps off. Discard the tough ends.
Arrange the trimmed spears in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Drizzle with the oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.
Roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the spears are tender with slight browning.
