New Balance Numeric Skate Shoe Preview: First Look and Release Details

After initial teaser images of the New Balance Numeric line appeared online, more details have emerged about New Balance’s first dedicated skate collection. Entering the skate market is a careful task—skaters are particular about performance and durability—yet Numeric aims to offer a range of practical options with two cupsole and two vulcanized models tailored for skating.

The cupsole models, the New Balance Logan 637 and the New Balance Stratford 479, focus on cushioning and breathability. The Logan 637 features New Balance’s RevLite midsole foam for lightweight, responsive cushioning that adds comfort during long sessions. The Stratford 479 combines cushioning with increased durability thanks to bonded TPU overlays in high-wear areas.

For those who prefer the boardfeel and flexibility of vulcanized shoes, the New Balance Brighton 344 and the New Balance Quincy 254 are built from suede uppers and follow traditional skate styling. The vulcanized construction offers a low-profile sole and improved board control while keeping weight down. Suede provides a familiar balance of comfort and abrasion resistance that many skaters expect.

The Numeric collection is slated to roll out across the year with a price range aimed at accessibility for skaters: the Logan 637 is positioned at $95, the Stratford 479 at $85, the Brighton 344 at $75, and the Quincy 254 at $65.
