These Christmas Marbled Dipped Apples combine crisp apples with a glossy, marbled chocolate coating in traditional red, green, and white holiday colors. They look impressive but are straightforward to make.

Let’s get started — the process is quick and the results are worth it.
… Don’t forget to check the tips below for troubleshooting and gifting ideas …
Begin by gathering your apples. I used Envy apples for these marbled dipped apples; any crisp, firm apple will work well.
Wash each apple thoroughly and dry completely — any moisture will prevent the chocolate from adhering properly. Insert a lollipop stick into the stem end of each apple and lay out a sheet of parchment paper or foil for cooling.

For a classic holiday look use white, red, and green melting chocolates. The white chocolate serves as the base color while red and green add the marbled accents. I used roughly 2–4 cups of white melting chocolate and about 1/2 cup each of red and green to coat about six apples; adjust amounts based on how many apples you plan to make.
Pour each color into its own bowl. Make sure the white chocolate is in a bowl deep enough to dip the entire apple. Melt the chocolates according to package directions — short bursts in the microwave (30 seconds) while stirring in between works well until the chocolate is smooth.

Drizzle a small amount of the red and green chocolate onto the surface of the white chocolate. Dip an apple straight down into the white chocolate, twist it slowly a bit while dipping to pick up some of the colored swirls, then stop twisting and lift the apple out. Set it on the parchment paper to set and harden.

Simple, festive marbled apples that make charming gifts or holiday party treats.
Ingredients
- 6 apples
- 6 lollipop sticks
- 2–4 cups white melting chocolate
- 1/2 cup red melting chocolate
- 1/2 cup green melting chocolate
Instructions
1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly; any moisture prevents the chocolate from adhering.
2. Insert a lollipop stick into each apple and set aside.
3. Lay out parchment paper or foil for cooling.
4. Melt white, red, and green melting chocolates separately according to package directions, stirring until smooth.
5. Pour the white chocolate into a deep bowl. Drizzle small amounts of red and green chocolate onto the top surface of the white.
6. Dip an apple into the white chocolate, giving a slow twist to capture some of the colored swirls, then lift and set on parchment to harden. Repeat, re-drizzling colors as needed.
Tips and Troubleshooting
If your chocolate coating isn’t turning out smooth, check these common issues:
- Apples too cold — chocolate may not adhere and can slide off. Use room-temperature apples.
- Chocolate too cold — it can clump and won’t coat smoothly; gently reheat to reach a pourable consistency.
- Chocolate too hot — it may run and won’t set properly; allow it to cool slightly before dipping.
- Wax on apples — wash thoroughly to remove any wax so the chocolate sticks.
- Re-drizzle red and green after each dip to maintain vibrant marbling.
- Allow apples to harden completely before bagging or wrapping.

These apples make charming, edible accents for gift cards. Place a finished apple in a clear treat bag, tie with ribbon, add a gift tag, and attach a gift card holder for a thoughtful, festive present.

Attach one of these marbled dipped apples to a gift card instead of just handing the card by itself — it adds personality and makes your gift feel special.
